Launched in early 2006, Yootsa.co.uk is a new generation meta search engine. Yootsa has been designed from the ground up by passionate searchers, providing a simplified search that allows you to find what your are looking for quickly and easily.

Yootsa features a human edited directory and each category is maintained by a specialist to ensure the directory is as useful as possible, plus reommendations of great sites within each category*

Yootsa knows where you are located so it provides search results and offers that are local to you - currently we offer Yootsa.com, Yootsa.co.uk and Yootsa.de with other countries coming soon.

What do we include in search?
In the combined search results are traditional search, news, blogs and other social media sitesYootsa has an intelligent engine which recognises the type of query to provide additional relevant information, for example if the query is job related, then job results will be shown, or if the search is shopping related, we will provide relevant shopping results from our partners including Shopping.com and job results from Indeed.com.

How does it work?
Yootsa is different to other search engines due to our unique ranking system to provide the most relevant search results, based on a meta search engine to gather and rank the top results on the web. Yootsa goes further than other meta search engines by including blog and social media content in its results.

What can you give me to help me search?
We've taken the best of the web's search features such as keyword suggestion and tagging clouds to give the mix between simplicity and power, plus a human edited directory that makes sense (ever tried navigating those large 'official' directories??) and occasional site recommendations to help you navigate through the web.

What the *&^ is Yootsa?
Yootsa is derived from the slang term “ootsa”, which is used to indicate exhilaration or joy at an event, and usually being highly satisfied at the result!
